This is likely to be a controversial article. What exactly am I referring to?
Underwear, in particular, the right type underwear for your body type.
I’m going to claim that there is no one-size-fits-all style.
I believe that the ideal style is determined by the individual’s body type, what they desire from their underwear, and whatever style they are most comfortable with.

Types of Men’s Underwear
So, let’s begin from the very beginning.
We’re talking about a couple of thousand years.
Loincloth
Let’s take a closer look at the loincloth. This was a combination of underwear and outerwear. This was a device that kept a man’s genitals close to his body, allowing him to hunt and be active.
Because they may be made out of a variety of materials, loincloths were popular. They were worn around the waist and were useful when men began to wear more garments since they protected your apparel.
Boxers
Boxers are a popular style now that is arguably the most akin to the loincloth.
They hold up around the waist, they don’t provide much support, but if your pants are already dangling, you’ll be able to maintain your modesty by holding those boxers up, plus they protect your outerwear.
Briefs
Let’s speak about briefs next, because this is where contemporary underwear began.
We saw a lot of breakthroughs in materials in the 1930s, and World War II briefs were released. Men began to accept this type of underwear since it was affordable, quite comfortable, and did an excellent job of supporting… you know what.
Briefs are simple, functional, and, some may argue, perfect in design. However, there were some improvements that could be made, especially if you’re looking for underwear for a specific reason.
Jock Strap
There’s a lot of support and a lot of room to move around. If you’re an athlete, it’s ideal.
Thong
Are you confident with your body and want to flaunt it? Underwear might be bikini, thong, or string.
Boxer Briefs
However, boxer briefs were the pinnacle of underwear design throughout the 1980s and 1990s.
I’m going to go over all of the different body shapes and the appropriate underwear for each one. However, only one style is appropriate for every body type. Boxer briefs are what they’re called.
There’s a catch, though. The boxer briefs I’m referring to are of excellent quality.
What Should You Look For?
In high-quality boxer briefs, I look for three things.
First and foremost, a wide, comfortable elastic waistband that measures a whole inch in width. It could bite into your waist if it’s anything less. That’s not what you’re looking for.
Next, I’d like my underwear to be made of high-quality fabric. Cotton is fine, but modal is far superior.
If you’re unfamiliar, this is a wood pulp-based plant-based textile that is extremely robust and tough. And what I like about it is that it has a little elasticity to it, so it fits closer to the body and feels more comfortable.
Durability is the third feature I’m looking for. I want underwear that fits well and is comfortable to last when I discover it. I don’t want to just throw it in the washing machine and have it come apart after a few washes.
Keep an eye on the stitching. Look for loose threads and consider the product’s overall finish.
Body Type and Underwear Style
Let’s discuss about body types and underwear styles, as well as which underwear styles you should avoid for various body types.
This is primarily about appearances, with a little of functionality thrown in for good measure.
If you simply adore a particular style and disagree with me, go ahead and flaunt it.
I’m just trying to steer you in the style of trying a new style since men are creatures of habit, and I want you to branch out.
Thin Body Type
If you’re a slim man, I’d recommend briefs, namely boxer briefs, rather than boxers. Why?
You’ve got a straight up and down frame as a slim guy, and those boxers aren’t going to help you out. They’re simply not going to look well on you.
However, the boxer briefs and briefs will look better on you. Boxer briefs, I believe, will be the finest option.
Wide Hips Body Type
What if you have broad hips? You’ve got the shape of a pear.
In this situation, we’ll want to decrease the appearance of those hips. So, you’ll want to stay away from boxers, but curiously enough, you’ll also want to stay away from briefs.
Why? Briefs will only look disproportionately little in size to the size of your hips and lower body.
Boxer briefs will shine in this situation. Boxer briefs and trunks are excellent at staying close to the body. Simultaneously, be modest and only cover the places you want to cover.
Round Body Type
What if you’re a large guy with a lot of muscle? What should you do now that you’re big and powerful?
You can go for boxers in a proportionate manner; just make sure you purchase larger boxers that will not provide much support but will provide plenty of room.
And those proportions look very well on a bigger person.
What about briefs and reports? They may provide you complete freedom of movement, but they’re going to vanish, especially if you have a large stomach hanging down there.
The point is, this is your body, and you want to feel good in it, which is where boxer briefs excel.
Because you may get chafing from time to time. You’ve gained a few pounds and your skin is pressing against itself, possibly in the thigh area.
Even slightly longer boxer briefs can help in this situation since you’ll have that material right there and it’ll just feel nicer. You’ll be more comfortable.
Mascular Body Type
What if you’re a bodybuilder and have a lot of body? You’re in fantastic shape, right?
You can pretty much pull off any style because of all your hard work and because you have such a terrific body.
This is where it starts to become a confidence issue.
Many of you will think, “I’m not really into some of those more revealing styles.”
But, if you wear it and get used to it, you might find that you enjoy how it makes you feel, and your partner likes the way it makes you appear. Take a chance.
Some of you are more modest, so you might want to cover up a little more. You could still get away with wearing boxers, but I’m not a big fan of them. It’s primarily due to a lack of support.
Choose a style that suits you.
If you’ve ever felt that your underwear was a touch too tight, you’ve had to fix it despite the fact that no one would notice. When you looked up, your beautiful coworker had witnessed everything. I’m sure you understand what I’m talking about.
