Is it possible to appear elegant while wearing ultra-casual clothing?
Sure, but you have to wear it correctly, and you have to pick the perfect pieces for you, or you’ll wind up looking sloppy, which isn’t what we want.
Here, I discuss five ultra-casual clothes that any elegant man can include into his wardrobe and look terrific in.
Casual Jacket
The first item is a stylish casual jacket.
There are many different sorts of casual jackets available. At the end of the day, you’re looking for something that will work for you.
The most significant aspect of this jacket is that it fits your body. Don’t buy it if it doesn’t fit you. It makes no difference if it’s 90 percent off. Don’t waste your money on a jacket that is too big for you.
You’ll want to pay attention to the shoulder points. Make sure the sleeves are long enough by extending your arms.
It’s fine if they’re a little too lengthy. You might be able to get it altered if they’re extremely long. Do not purchase if they are too short.
As it comes to jacket length, you don’t want something that exposes your stomach when you raise your hands. That was far too short.
When you pull it down, make sure it doesn’t completely cover your buttocks. You want to hit the sweet area between your buttocks and a couple of inches below your waist.
That is essentially where you want the jacket’s length to be.
It also depends on the style. An elastic goes in and around you in a bomber style. That appeals to me since it effectively provides a slimmer silhouette.
Let’s talk about fabric now, while we’re on the subject of silhouettes.
You can use a single color. It flatters your figure and makes you appear taller and thinner. It’s also completely OK to use a lighter hue in a solid.
Multicolors and neons should be avoided at all costs. If you’re going to go running, things like that are great. I get it from a functional standpoint, and that’s great.
However, you don’t want to do that when it comes to something you can wear in and around town. Avoid anything that appears to be excessively athletic.
On the fabric front, I want something that’s going to be very breathable; you’ll want to go for something that’s cotton and has a variety of stretch fibers in it, such as spandex and a few other sorts of stretch textiles.
I really like these since they’re going to be a lot more forgiving. They can be a touch tighter in some areas, but there will be no hot spots.
Let’s have a look at the style.
A pocket with a working zipper is one of my favorite style features on a beautiful jacket. I don’t want to lose any of my possessions.
All of these nuances contribute to a fantastic casual jacket, which is number one on my list.
Casual Trousers
Casual trousers are the second item on my list.
Allow me to clarify what I’m not referring to when I say this.
I’m not talking about a pair of jeans. I adore denim, but this is more of an athleisure look.
I believe there are many negative aspects to the athleisure fashion trend, but there are also some positive aspects.
Consider the yoga pants. More power to you if you’re wearing yoga pants in town, but keep in mind that the pants I’m referring to are less form-fitting. But they’ll be more form-fitting than the sweats we’re used to seeing.
Sweatpants have been around for a long time and are excellent when you’re out jogging, but they don’t do anything for your legs or the build you have down there.
I’m referring to anything with a bit of stretch in the waistband. However, as we go down, we’ll have a trimmer, closer fit on the leg line. We’re not going to use an elastic band at the bottom.
The fabric of the casual trousers is another quick aspect to consider. The fabric’s overall hand should be silky smooth and luxurious.
This is the type of casual trouser you’re looking for.
What do you notice when you look at a pair of sweatpants? It has a coarser weave. Because they’re using a thicker, cheaper cotton, the holes in the cloth are visible.
You can’t see that in luxurious trousers. They’re employing nylon and a few other synthetic materials that are produced and woven in such a way that they can have a tighter weave while still remaining breathable.
Another consideration is the dark hue. If you wear light-colored trousers, you’re asking for stains and grime to shine through. Make sure you get something black and with a beautiful smooth weave.
Last but not least, pay attention to the trouser’s stylistic aspects. If they’re using a zipper, go ahead and pull it down, then pull it back up, was that easy? Did it appear to be a high-quality zipper?
Examine the back pockets to see if they are properly aligned. A majority of businesses overlook these minor aspects. They’re not paying attention to it if they’re skipping this.
Recognize that they’re probably oblivious to a lot of other things, which could lead to other issues.
Quality Henley
The third item on my list is a fantastic-looking Henley.
A Henley is distinguished by the absence of a collar and the presence of a buttoned opening at the front.
The number of buttons varies; sometimes there are only one, and other times there are four. It doesn’t actually make a difference.
What matters is the fit; you must ensure that it fits you properly in the shoulder points and that it is long enough so that your stomach is not exposed when you raise your arms.
You’ll want to show off your hands, make sure the sleeves are long enough, and get something that fits your body shape.
What you don’t want is to get something that’s either too big or too small.
You’ll notice short sleeve Henleys and long sleeve Henleys among the several styles available.
Longer sleeves are more comfortable for me because I can roll them up.
I prefer a dark-colored Henley when it comes to the various hues and fabrics.
When it comes down to it, the Henley is an excellent addition to any ultra-casual wardrobe.
Classic Hoodie
The classic hoodie is number four on my list.
Consider what the hoodie accomplishes. It has a beautiful extra piece of clothing that can protect you from the weather by covering your head.
It’s been there for a long time, yet it’s earned a nasty reputation. The reason for this is because many people are wearing it to events where they should be wearing a suit. Alternatively, they’re manufactured from a cloth that’s far too heavy and cumbersome. They’re dressed in sizes that are two sizes too big.
It is a much cleaner and nicer look if you wear a hoodie that fits you properly, is made of a fabric with a beautiful drape, and does not have a large logo or team name on it. It’s something that many men will look well in.
This will look best on athletic body types who wear a slimmer cut, as well as skinny body types who wear a slimmer cut.
When it comes to colors, you may try a darker blue or a really dark grey. Try not to push yourself too much, like a black. That’s a little bit of an extreme contrast.
Sneakers
Finally, let’s discuss footwear.
I’m not a sneakerhead, but I do realize that there are a few factors to consider when it comes to casual footwear.
First and foremost, what is the shoe’s purpose? Is it going to be for show or is it going to be for training?
If you’re going to use it for training, make sure you pick the correct shoe for the job. Check to see if it fits your foot. Recognize that your arch may change with time, and you may want to invest in something with additional support.
When it comes to appearances, it’s probably less about the function and more about what you’re wearing, what it’s made of, and what brand it is.
