Spring/Summer 2025 Fashion Trends: Alexandre Vauthier

Alexandre Vauthier’s Spring/Summer 2025 Haute Couture collection marked a notable shift from his signature bold aesthetics to a more understated elegance.

Held at La Monnaie de Paris, the collection embraced restraint and subtle sophistication, reflecting a new partnership with the California-based Revolve Group.

Departing from his usual high-octane glamour, Vauthier focused on precision, cut, and timeless sophistication. The collection featured tailored flou, a seamless fusion of structure and fluidity. Daywear, or rather eveningwear disguised as daywear, was the core of the collection. A standout piece was a beige wool gabardine bustier jumpsuit, structured like a man’s jacket, paired with slouchy vegan nappa leather boots.

Eveningwear retained Vauthier’s signature strength but in a more understated manner. Bubble skirts were paired with flawlessly tailored flared trousers, echoing a trend seen across the couture season. Jewelry, crafted in Paris, reinterpreted his signature galet shape, while mask sunglasses in collaboration with Alain Mikli offered customizable frames and lenses.

Despite moments of opulence, like a pink feathered jacket and a fully fringed organza gown requiring over 2,000 hours of handwork, Vauthier’s SS25 collection marked a shift toward longevity and refinement. His vision of a powerful, sophisticated woman remains intact, but with an evolved sense of purpose.
