Men’s Spring/Summer 2022 Fashion Trends

Men's Spring/Summer 2022 Fashion Trends

I was researching men’s spring/summer fashion trends for this article for you on several websites, and they were all talking about these strange cutouts. I was thinking to myself, “Are you kidding me?”

Before we get started, one of the reasons I’m so excited about this list of men’s spring/summer trends is that you’ll be able to incorporate them into your existing wardrobe.

None of them are so far out there that they’ll be a waste of money. You’ll be comfortable wearing them for a long time to come.

Light Wash Denim

The light wash denim is first on the list.

I know a lot of people automatically associate it with dads, but I’m a great admirer.

It’s an older piece that had fallen out of favor for a time but has resurfaced in a huge way and is now having a big moment since they’re quite fashionable and ideal for the spring and summer seasons.

Personally, I love the contrast between the light wash color with the deep black. It’s a great approach to give them a little more edge and make them less dad-like.

Completely wearable with a casual ensemble such as boots and a t-shirt, or sneakers and a t-shirt. Wear these with your knit polo and loafers if you want to spice them up a little.

People frequently ask me what the best approach to start growing your style is if you already have the key essentials.

Getting different washes of jeans or choosing a relatively wider leg fit is the simplest way. Those are some very clever ways for you to stay within clothes that you’re already familiar with while yet being able to present yourself in a unique way due to the fact that your pants are a different color or fit differently.

Denim Shirts

Denim shirts have long been a favorite of mine. I have this one from Gap. It’s the oldest item in my entire wardrobe, I believe. I’ve owned it for 15 years and it continues to become more and more comfortable.

Denim shirts, on the other hand, have never really gone out of style for me.

I believe it is time for everyone to join on board, since, given how popular flannel shirts have become, especially in the fall and winter, the reason I love a denim shirt is that it can be worn in all of the same ways as a flannel shirt.

It may be worn on its own or layered over a t-shirt with chino pants and sneakers.

Understanding how to style oneself with comparable pieces throughout the year as the weather changes will make it a lot easier, especially when you find something that you truly like on your body.

Consider this: I know I’m a sucker for a flannel and chinos, so what’s a slightly lighter version of that? A denim shirt and shorts might be appropriate.

Knit Polos

Knit polo shirts are my absolute favorite. They’ve been on my mind for a while, but they’re quite comfortable. They began in the 1950s, went on hiatus for a period, and are now back in full force.

It’s essentially the same as a regular polo shirt, except it’s constructed of a material that feels more like a sweater. Sweaters are typically associated with winter weather, but these are light and airy, and they’re really flexible.

You may dress them down with just some jeans or shorts for a casual look, or dress them up a little for a spring wedding with a suit. For a date night or something similar, pair it with some dress pants.

Starting with neutral and working your way up is always a good idea.

Rugby Shirts

Rugby shirts are the next item on the list.

All of these, I believe, are simply old items that have come back into style in a big way.

I recall when Abercrombie was at the height of its success, and rugby shirts were all the rage. However, they’ve made a comeback.

It’s enjoyable since you can make it as muted as you want, creating a truly classic and simple look. You can even go for a more daring look if that’s more your thing.

You could certainly wear these with your light wash jeans. They do, however, look good with chino pants if you want to spice them up a little.

There are so many different ways to wear a shirt like this and still look and feel fantastic.

Loafers

Loafers are the next big thing.

You’ve probably seen a lot of people wearing them. They’re really popular right now, and for good reason. Because, believe it or not, people are starting to move away from wearing sneakers all the time.

Sneakers will never go out of style, but it’s wonderful to have alternatives.

If you’re looking for a new pair, I recommend G.H. Bass Weejuns. Those are unquestionably the best mid-range but still quite high-quality pair.

Shorts, jeans, chino pants, chino shorts, and dress pants will all look great with these.

I think starting with an all-black pair or an all-brown pair is a great idea. The two tone pairs, on the other hand, are fantastic if you want to be a little more daring and jump right in.

Clogs/Mules

Clogs and mules are basically the same thing. You may refer to them by any name you like.

I’m referring to the traditional Birkenstock sandal. I have a pair from Great Brand with a somewhat more sneaker-like sole. They’re extremely comfortable.

These may not be suitable for everyone. I understand, but I believe it’s a fantastic alternative to the standard white sneaker.

When I walk out into the world, I constantly see that everyone and their uncle is sporting a white sneaker these days, which is understandable. They’re timeless, and you can’t go wrong with them.

However, if you want something a little different but still be able to wear them in the same way, I think a shoe like this is ideal, especially with your light wash denim.

They’d look great with a knit polo or a rugby shirt. You can be creative and wear them in a variety of ways in almost any outfit that you would wear a classic white sneaker in.

So there you have it.

Six easy men’s spring/summer fashion trends that you may easily incorporate into your present wardrobe. To pull off any of these looks, you don’t need to acquire a whole new wardrobe or adopt a new style persona.

They’re not only doable, but they’re also a lot of fun and fashionable.

One thing to keep in mind is that if you see one of these, don’t buy the ridiculously expensive version of whatever it is you’re looking at. Buy something a little less expensive at first, get really comfortable with it, and then decide whether or not you want to invest in the more expensive choice.
