The Giorgio Armani Privé Spring/Summer 2026 Haute Couture show in Paris marked a historic and emotional turning point for the legendary house.
Titled “Jade,” the collection was the first couture presentation since the passing of the “Maestro,” Giorgio Armani, in September 2025.
Stepping out of the shadows and into the spotlight was Silvana Armani, Giorgio’s niece and longtime right hand, who made her debut as Creative Director.
Her vision for the season was one of “The Elegance of Restraint”—a tribute to her uncle’s legacy that simultaneously introduced a softer, distinctly feminine perspective.
The Theme: Jade
The collection took its soul from the precious stone, which symbolizes harmony, balance, and formal perfection.
- A Softer Palette: The runway was washed in ethereal shades of celadon green, mint, powder pink, and milky ivory, grounded by the graphic, sharp black that is an Armani hallmark.

Silvana Armani presented a tightly edited 60-look collection (down from her uncle’s typical 100+), focusing on clarity and wearable luxury rather than theatrical spectacle.
- Masculine-Feminine Tailoring: The show opened with impeccably tailored pantsuits—a personal signature for Silvana. These were stripped of rigid internal structures, featuring sheer organza ties and “melting” collars that blurred the lines between a suit and a blouse.
- The “Geek-Chic” Intellectual: In a departure from the dramatic hats Giorgio loved, Silvana accessorized models with wire-thin reading glasses and chunky statement rings, portraying the Armani woman as intellectual and grounded.
- Orientalist Details: Nods to the East (a lifelong inspiration for the house) appeared through embroidered lanterns, bamboo fans, and bejeweled tassels that swayed with the models’ movements.
- Couture Knits: The collection featured shimmering mesh knits and “fine-fringed” pullovers worn over trousers, bringing a sense of “everyday couture” to the Paris runway.
A Poignant Farewell
The most emotional moment of the night was saved for the finale. Traditionally, the “Couture Bride” is a brand-new creation, but Silvana chose to close the show with a long-sleeved, high-necked bridal gown designed by Giorgio Armani himself before his passing.
Accompanied by a solemn, floor-length veil, the gown served as a final blessing from the founder. When Silvana emerged for her bow in a classic navy tuxedo jacket, she was met with a standing ovation from a front row that included Michelle Pfeiffer and Kate Hudson, signaling the dawn of a new, assured era for the House of Armani.
