5 Different Types of Pants All Guys Need

different types of pants for guys

I’m going to talk about pants in this article.

I was cleaning out my closet and getting rid of items when I discovered that I had a lot of things that I didn’t need and that I was missing some staple pieces that I absolutely needed in my wardrobe.

I felt you guys would be having similar problems, therefore I’m going to talk about five pairs of pants that every man should have.

If you’re attempting to pare down your wardrobe and build a capsule wardrobe or a really minimalist wardrobe, these are five pairs of pants that will keep you covered in any situation.

It’s always wonderful to have a little bit of diversity, some extra options, but you don’t need ten different colors of the same pair of pants.

Here five different pairs of pants that every guy needs.

Dark Denim

Classic dark denim is number one on my list.

You knew it was going to be here. These are my fave of all time. These are going to be your wardrobe’s workhorse.

Versatile, classic, and suitable for almost any occasion. They go with everything and look fantastic.

Dark denim is a must-have for any man. It makes no difference to me how old or young you are. A pair of dark denim is required.

The rationale for this is that you may dress these up or tone them down. They’re going to be the only pair of jeans you’ll ever require.

If dark blue isn’t your thing, you could perhaps throw in a pair of black jeans. Dark denim, on the other hand, is essential.

Another thing to keep in mind when it comes to dark denim is that fit is crucial.

I see a lot of males wearing baggy jeans with a bootcut that doesn’t go well with their shoes.

I would strongly advise sticking to a tapered cut, a slim fit, or something similar that will fit your body better and look better on you in general.

Trousers

The second item is a pair of trousers.

Obviously, a suit is not on this list because you can usually buy everything together. You’re not going to have a separate pair of pants.

It could be a dress pant, a pair of wool pants, or a lightweight cotton trouser with a relaxed fit in this case. Whatever you think best represents your personal style and feeling.

A wool trouser is one of my favorite pieces of clothing. If you reside somewhere more tropical, where the weather is warmer for a longer period of time, I would recommend a cotton trouser. Something a little lighter in weight, a little more casual, that will serve you well during the summer months.

What I like about trousers is that they can be dressed up without requiring a full-fledged suit.

These are an excellent option if you want to look attractive, formal, and dressed up without wearing a full suit.

Chinos

The third item is a pair of chinos.

I adore these since they are laid-back, easy to style, and can be worn with almost anything if the proper color is chosen.

These are an excellent substitute for a more formal pant.

A chino is a terrific option to choose if you want to appear beautiful but not too fancy or formal.

They can, however, be dressed up as well.

They truly combine the best of both worlds, and they typically appear more informal than a wool pant or other more formal trouser.

The color you choose is entirely up to you and what you think will look best on you.

But if you don’t already have a pair, I’d suggest starting with a tan, navy, gray, or something like that’s fairly adaptable and will go with a lot of what you currently own.

I would avoid using bright, strong colors because you would be limited in what you can mix them with.

Joggers

We have a pair of joggers at number four.

Whatever you want to say, I think males look fantastic with a decent pair of sweatpants.

True, not all sweatpants are created equal, and not all of them are attractive. However, there is a really elegant method to do it, and my personal preference is with a jogger.

I have a pair that fits perfectly because the leg is a little more tapered. They just create a smoother silhouette for you, which will make your figure appear much better than if you wore something excessively baggy.

Some males I know use the kind that’s a little baggy in the butt area and makes you look like you’re wearing a full diaper.

I strongly advise you to avoid them and instead purchase something that fits you a little better. Here’s a little secret: girls love butts as well. That is why girls prefer sweatpants to denim because they accentuate your physique a little bit more.

Get something that suits you well rather than something that is too big.

A great pair of tapered joggers is the ideal combination of comfy and stylish, and may be used for running errands or doing something enjoyable. However, it can also be worn to simply laze about the house.

If you don’t already have them, a pair of joggers is a must-have.

Don’t buy a pair of pink joggers for a color. I’d recommend sticking to neutral colors like navy, black, charcoal, and even dark green.

Simply choose something that will appear extremely sleek, very simple, and that will go with everything in your closet.

Shorts

Finally, we have a pair of shorts at number five.

This one is going to be a little more dependent on your particular style. Shorts, on the other hand, are a fantastic alternative if you reside somewhere that gets a little warmer.

When I’m working out, running errands, or doing something pretty casual, I usually wear shorts. This pair of shorts has a decidedly athleisure vibe to it.

It is entirely dependent on your personal preferences. I would recommend a quality pair of fitted shorts if you’re someone who dresses up a lot and wants to wear shorts while still looking nice, perhaps with a button shirt or something similar. Something with a chino-like texture. It’s just something that can be elevated a little bit higher than exercise material.

It will entirely depend on your unique taste. However, every man’s wardrobe should include at least one pair of shorts.

The length of the shorts is something to keep in mind.

I see so many guys wearing shorts that go past the knee. While that may have been cool 20 years ago, it is no longer so. It’s unattractive and can make your legs appear much shorter.

Choose a style that hits above the knee.

Shorter style shorts that are a little above the knee are making a comeback. A shorter pair of shorts is much more appealing to me than a pair that extends past the knee.

Just keep in mind the length. It will be determined by the length of your legs.

Okay, guys, that concludes my list of five pants that every man should own.
