These are small, inconsequential mistakes that you may make, but they are acceptable.

Let’s start with the most basic.

Central Line Leggings

I’m just going to dive right in. It’s a pair of leggings with a center line running down the front. Many of you are aware of what I’m referring to.

A strange center line runs down the front of many of our leggings. In most circumstances, it’s OK and we assume it’s common, but in some cases, the placement is quite poor.

Use your creative abilities.

It can generate an optical illusion in front of you that does not appear to be very appealing.

I have a lot of favorite leggings with the center line. It’s OK most of the time, but then I have other leggings on which it mysteriously disappears.

And now I’m thinking that I should reach for those more often.

Darts

This following clothing mistake completely perplexes me. This is something that no one talks about.

Darts run the length of the front of blouses and dresses.

This is something I see on red carpets and on designer shirts that should know better. I’ve seen it at H&M and Forever 21.

I don’t have any because I don’t buy things like this.

The darts, on the other hand, come to a precise stop right at your nipples. What is the point of this? I don’t fully comprehend.

I think it makes you look not only messy and cheap, but also a little daring.

Makeup on Turtleneck

I do it all the time with the next outfit mistake. As a result, I suppose I should follow my own advise.

It’s the makeup on your turtleneck. How does one put on makeup while wearing a turtleneck without putting it on the turtleneck?

I’m not sure.

This happens to me all the time, therefore I have a lot of examples. You do appear messy.

I even use one of those makeup tricks where you put something on your face first and then put on your shirt, which preserves your shirt but still rubs up against you throughout the day.

So I don’t have a solution, but I’m still here to tell that it makes us appear messy.

Stains on the Sleeve

Let’s discuss sleeve stains for a moment.

I’d like to give a shout-out to all of you left-handed people out there; I think you’ve got this. You’re well aware because you grew up writing and smearing ink over your sleeve.

I’m right-handed, and I’m often surprised at how long I’ve been wearing something, and yet my sleeve looks terrible on many times.

So just keep an eye on your sleeves.

Armpit stains, turtleneck stains, and sleeve stains are all well-known, although sleeve stains might be difficult to identify.

Sweatshirt Bubble

The sweatshirt bubble, as I like to call it, is the next small outfit mistake you might be doing.

As we all know, loungewear and comfortable clothing are really popular, and we all wear them.

However, there are some sweatshirts that don’t look as well as others and make you appear less put-together.

The sweatshirt bubble is what it’s all about.

We have crop sweatshirts, which I think is fine. Even the big sweatshirts, in my opinion, are just acceptable.

However, when the sweatshirt stops right in the middle of your torso and is hemmed incorrectly, it creates an actual bubble on your body.

Normally, bubbles aren’t very attractive.

Chunky Neck

When it comes to sweatshirts, or more particularly hoodies, or any shirt with a really chunky neck, another error you may do is wearing your hair down when wearing a hoodie or a shirt with a really chunky neck.

Hair tends to gather in the back, like a rat’s nest.

Throw your hair up if you’re wearing a hoodie or anything with a lot of material around the neck. It’ll always work, and it’ll make you appear a lot better.

Distressing

Many people will disagree with me on this one since it is fashionable.

However, there will be a large number of people who completely agree with me.

It’s strange coming from me, considering I adore a good pair of distressed jeans.

When it comes to tops, such as blouses, t-shirts, and sweaters, it’s currently fashionable to purchase them with distressing, such as holes or rippage.

There’s something about tops that doesn’t sit well with me. I’m never sure if that’s a brand new t-shirt or if it’s an old ragged t-shirt.

That is precisely the point that people make when it comes to jeans.

Belt Loop Holes

The belt loop holes that come standard on tops and dresses are the next thing that will make you seem messy.

By merely clipping off the side belt loops, you may instantly improve your entire look, your entire outfit. Cut them off instead of using them.

After that, put the belt on and secure it properly. It’s a tenfold improvement.

Long Shoelaces

Your shoelaces are the next tiny little trivial clothing mistake.

Some shoelaces are so lengthy and floppy that they completely overwhelm your shoe.

No-tie shoelaces are a simple solution. These are probably aimed towards children, but they appeal to me. They not only improve the appearance of your shoe, but they also allow you to slide your foot into it. It’s a fantastic invention.

You can also tie your shoelaces in such a way that they are hidden within your shoe rather than on the outside.

Alternatively, you may simply purchase shorter shoe laces.

Chunky Boots

Let’s speak about chunky boots while we’re on the subject of footwear, because there are ways to wear them and look really beautiful, and then there are ways to wear them and look like a slob.

When it comes to chunky boots, you really want to openly display them. They’re plainly attempting to be the focal point of your entire outfit.

So, if you’re wearing a dress, you’ll see them right away. If you’re wearing pants, make sure they’re cut enough to show off your boot and lengthen your leg.

When the pants you’re wearing cover most of it, it seems like a mess. It appears to be clumsy and a touch chunky.

That’s where they look messy rather than stylish.

That’s all there is to it.

These are minor clothing and outfit mistakes that you and I are both guilty of, and which make us appear messy.
